It hasn’t taken long for Young Chefs Academy of Yardley to become one of the most talked-about new spots for kids in Lower Bucks. Since opening 18 months ago, families have been raving about the way YCA blends fun, confidence, and real culinary skills.
The YCA Summer Camp program provides boys and girls ages 7-13 with a fun and hands-on experience where they learn different culinary techniques and methods. The classes are small, taught by experienced teachers, and feature 18-20 different recipes during each week of camp.
Camp weeks begin June 22 and run through the last week of August. They run Monday through Thursday from 9 am - 12 pm and some weeks offer an afternoon alternative from 1 pm - 4 pm (same curriculum as the morning).
Beyond cooking fundamentals, campers practice teamwork, explore new foods and healthy options, and take on exciting challenges inspired by their favorite competitive cooking shows.
Nearly 100 local parents have shared reviews like this:
"My son participated in summer camp and had an awesome time! The variety of recipes and techniques kept him engaged and the food was delicious!"
"My child had a wonderful learning experience during one of the weekly summer camps, and she is begging me to go back! I love that the instructors have the kids perform the kitchen skills themselves and challenge them to think critically. The variety of the foods that the kids prepared was diverse and helped them expand their palates. The kitchen itself is very safe! I can’t say enough good things about the caring instructors and my daughter’s experience!"
If you’re looking for a unique, engaging, and meaningful camp experience this summer, Young Chefs Academy is the place to be.
