Local funeral director earns national honor

Posted

Christie Iannucci, funeral director at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel in Morrisville, has been selected for inclusion in the “Nationwide Registries Women of Distinction 2026 Honors Edition”, a prestigious recognition highlighting accomplished women across a wide range of professional fields.

J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, a long-standing, community-focused funeral home established in 1923, has built its reputation on compassionate service and dedication to families during difficult times. Iannucci, a Levittown resident, has been part of that mission for the past three years and has worked in the funeral service industry for a decade. She is licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The Women of Distinction honor is particularly selective. Each year, only one woman per state and profession is chosen, following a rigorous vetting process that includes academic achievement, peer review, and client feedback. The designation serves as a national, third-party endorsement of professional excellence and leadership.

In a letter recognizing Iannucci, the organization praised both her professional skill and personal character. “Her integrity and compassion shine through in every aspect of her work, making her a role model for aspiring young professionals,” the letter states. It also notes that her “journey to success is marked by hard work, sacrifice, and determination,” and highlights her ability to connect with others in a meaningful way.

Nationwide Registries Women of Distinction is dedicated to honoring women who demonstrate exceptional accomplishments while inspiring others. Beyond recognition, the organization aims to foster a network of empowered leaders and preserve the legacy of women making a lasting impact in their fields.

For Iannucci, the award reflects years of commitment to serving families with care and dignity. She credits her husband, John Booker, for his continued, unwavering support throughout her career.

Her inclusion in the 2026 Honors Edition not only celebrates her professional achievements but also highlights the vital role compassion and dedication play in the funeral service profession.
