Developer plans contractors’ garages for local trade businesses

Recognizing a need for garages for plumbers and other trade businesses to stow their tools, a developer is planning to construct three contractors’ garages in Falls Township.

The Falls Supervisors granted preliminary and final land development approval to Lower Bucks Homebuilders, LLC during a recent meeting. Plans call for the consolidation of 10 parcels into a 50,874-square-foot site. Located on Fallsington-Tullytown Road, with secondary frontage on Bristol Pike, the site would house a 5,250-square-foot garage, as well as two garages that would be 4,725 square feet each.

Attorney Mike Meginniss said his client noticed a “need” for local small business owners and startups to have spaces available throughout Falls to house their equipment and tools. The site would feature a one- way point of circulation and no access to large trucks.

“It’s generally going to be used by a box truck or a van,” Meginniss said, noting that business owners may visit the site once a day.
