BCHIP launches five-session Smoking Cessation Program to support Bucks County residents

Posted

Bucks County residents looking to quit smoking now have access to a supportive, evidence-based program offered through the Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership (BCHIP). The organization has launched a comprehensive, five-session Smoking Cessation Program, designed to help participants break nicotine dependence with guidance, education, and ongoing encouragement.

The free program is offered in collaboration with local hospital partners across Bucks County, making it easier for residents to find a class close to home. Each session provides structured support in a small-group setting, along with practical tools to address both the physical addiction to nicotine and the behavioral habits that make quitting challenging.

Participants will learn strategies for managing cravings, reducing withdrawal symptoms, setting achievable goals, understanding triggers, and building long-term habits that support a smoke-free life. Trained facilitators guide each class, ensuring that attendees feel supported, informed, and empowered every step of the way.

Smoking remains one of the leading causes of preventable disease, yet many residents struggle to quit without structured support. BCHIP’s approach recognizes that quitting is a process—not a single decision—and provides the accountability and encouragement needed to increase long-term success rates.

Residents of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate, whether they are preparing to quit for the first time or seeking help after previous attempts. Family members and caregivers are also welcome to join in certain sessions, reinforcing BCHIP’s community-centered approach to wellness.

Enrollment is now open, and space is limited to ensure personalized support. To register or learn more about upcoming class schedules at participating hospitals, call 267-291-7882 or visit www.bchip.org. Live and virtual classes available.

BCHIP continues its mission to improve community health by offering accessible, high-impact programs that empower residents to make meaningful changes—one session, one conversation, and one commitment at a time.
